Show Stopper: Apple Pie
So, I have persevered and got as far as the “Show Stopper” in my own Great British Bake Off. That’ll be the apple pie then! I am very pleased with it. The apples were a bit wersh, but nothing that caster sugar can’t take the edge off. Tangy.
And if it looks a little over-glazed, that’s because there was a lot of turn-taking with the egg-wash.
That’s enough of that baking lark.
Back to the ready-meals 😉
OMG, apple pie! Do you like it with vanilla ice-cream on top? I loooove apple pie! Your pie looks good enough to eat in one sitting!
Just double cream. I don’t know if there’ll be any left by the time I make it to the vanilla ice-cream shop!!
😀
Oooooooooooyummy! Now that’s what I call an apple pie.
‘Wersh’ – one for the notebook!
Yes, it’s even ambiguous – two for the price of one 🙂
Oh.
I thought it was a newfangled pronunciatin for Welsh.
Or was it . . .
🙂
Nope:-)
Wersh: sour/bitter etc
Now that is what I call a SHOW STOPPER!
🙂
That is a magnificent pie – well done! Must give it a go sometime……
But on the downside, it leaked in the oven. Waiting for husband to clean oven. (his remit)…
