Wee Scoops

Measure for Measure

A Prawn in an Apron

out of the frying pan

out of the frying pan (Photo credit: waferboard)

A prawn, apron clad, took

A toque upon his carapace.

A pan into his swimmarets

And in the pan he fried a plaice.

The simple shrimp’ll never skimp, he’ll

Fry until you try, then buy

A dish of fish, whate’er you wish –

He’s a crustacean sensation!

  1. Clever wordplay, I like it :).

    • I had written myself a memo to use “a prawn/apron” ages ago, and I didn’t like the “your blog goes viral ” prompt, so that was the best I could do with it. Hoping for a better prompt today!
