Wee Scoops

Measure for Measure

Someone once said that you can always make new friends, but you can’t make old ones. Very true. I saw some friends I have known since… 1978ish and wrote this haiku. It hasn’t captured the tone I was looking for. But anyway:

Old friends are finite.
We colour in memories;
Rose, gold, green and gone.

  1. I get the spirit, you do things with haikus that us mere mortals can only envy.

  2. Make new friends,
    Cherish the old.
    One is silver,
    The other gold.

    I know what you mean. And to lose an old friend is an especial tragedy, no?

  3. They say in our lifetime we only keep six friends forever.
