Wee Scoops

Measure for Measure

Thinly Spread

Like butter, melting to transparency at the edge of the toast
Invisible now.
Like a marquee’s canvas, stretched taut,
Snapping and flapping.

Flapping.
Overwhelmed.
Snapping.
Too many tasks half done.
She sits.
Invisible.

  1. That was beautifully said about something that makes one feel so alone. The tautness of the awning snapping, very alive is the imagery. Yoda my name is. Star Wars references, many there are. I’m being silly, sorry.
I’m sure that you are going to touch many people with this piece.

  2. Love that first line.
