Wee Scoops

Measure for Measure

In migraine meltdown.
Vision slipping through speech gaps.
A fractured haze builds.

  1. If this is autobiographical, I hope that it passes quickly. I’ve had two migraines in my life and the agony is unforgettable. Feel better and if it isn’t autobiographical, you described one perfectly.

Laurie expresses me thoughts exactly. Except that I doubt I’ve ever suffered from a migraine.

  3. Poor you! Feel better soon.

  4. I refuse to click “like” on this one; nevertheless, it is excellent writing. Excellent.

If you suffer often (how could you have written that without suffering it first?) I am so sorry. However, I can tell you from lifelong experience that eventually your pain receptors become dull and you can take almost any pain with much more ferocity and bravery than most people, which causes them to be in awe, and absolutely terrifies most doctors.

    For what it’s worth. 😐

    • Thanks. It’s the aura before it that is worse for me. I can usually sleep through the majority of the headache if my other responsibilites can find themselves aunties and grandparents…

      • Oh I am so glad my friend does not suffer the worst.
I would lose parts of my memory and used my chidren to keep track of my meds for me. (When they were teens, of course.)
Sometimes the little ones were so sweet and would visit my bedside and give me tiny pats and teensy rubs in an attempt to be my small nurses. Such sweet memories.
Since dental anesthesia would trigger migraines for me, and the headache was always far worse than the drill, I often opted out of the shot in the jaw. Could make a dentist sweat.
        Ornery fun.
