Mamma Mia: Headline of the Day
Moira Stewart made me laugh with this on my way to work today, on Radio 2: The Chris Evans Breakfast show. She read:
“A fed-up son has taken out a court order against his possessive mother using Italian anti-stalking laws, juridical authorities in Pavia have revealed.
The student told judges he was plagued with hundreds of phone calls, texts and unannounced visits every day at his digs at university.
Now the mother can only contact her son once a day – and only visit him by invitation”
On reflection, I don’t know why I laughed – the poor woman and her poor son! Maybe it was John Cleese guffawing that made me smile.
