Ever had to write a wee 100 word biography?
We bloggers have all done an ABOUT page… but you can’t use the same one in every context. Perhaps you should be able to use the same one in every context.
But… if I give my employment, relationship status, qualifications and activities… I sound like some kind of crazed, faintly academic, middle-class, hyperactive, idealistic … wife!
Oh.
(And perhaps I have watched too much CSI.)
You aren’t crazed and you aren’t crazed. You are a dynamic, poetry filled, energetic, slightly quirky , academic and actively exercising mom and wife.

I have to write them all the time, every time I give a talk at a conference (so, approx. 3 to 5 times a year). Mine is basically the same each time with minor tweaks depending on the topic of the conference. Mine contains no non-academic information. So what I’m saying is, tailor it to your audience…
The stress has gone out of it now I know it’s just for someone to be told verbally. It’s my punctuation anxieties that get to me. Oh the nuances you can get with punctuation
